Why do people insist on pissing me off?
Heres my convo with Citibank. If you need them to fix the problem tell them you'll call the head of the board of directors, give them his number, and give them your number.
I got a call back in under a hour and they did everything I wanted, with a "yes sir", "no sir", "thank you sir".

Contains the correspondence between me and the University at Buffalo. My only pondering is do I reply with a thanks for the review it took half a year to start and send it past the school, up the county and state, as high up as Hillary Clinton, or wait to see what she says? The president and vice president of the school may need to become aware of this as well. Should I wait, carbon-copy, or blind-carbon copy. Reply and Forward are wonderful things.
I have the Dean of Students in direct contact with me, seems you have to mention the state government or a lawsuit before they take you seriously. A secretary for the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education telling me if I pay $250 they'll see if they can fix their own mistake just doesn't fly.
Also, if anyone just does read this large jumbled mess over think its worth pursuing a lawsuit against the school?
Anyone thats ever thought about pissing me off, might need to reconsider now. A hungry Doug is a very vicious Doug. |

"It may be getting toward the end of hurricane season, but the record pace of
storms is continuing. Beta is located off the east coast of Nicaragua and is
slowly drifting toward the Central America coast, but impact is not guaranteed
to happen. A light upper-level flow should carry the system to the northwest
over the next few days, but some energy could be lifted north early next week
as the upper-level pattern shifts. To complicate matters even more, a tropical
wave in the southern Caribbean could interact with what is left of Beta and
enhance tropical development in the southern Gulf of Mexico. Whether a tropical
system develops or not, it at least looks like some tropical moisture will head
toward southern Florida next week." |

HURRICANE WILMA!
The metal frame from our Floirda ceiling-to-floor windows shifted out, and the glass shattered into the metal poles inside the apartment that was holding it up from collapsing because they were doing construction and tore off the balcony, screens, and shutters creating a emergency in the building even before the hurricane.
Several apartments have been relocated to the hallway. No, not the people. The apartments. Also, 5 apartments lost their walls and now just look like one giant apartment. Scared elderly people were helped down stairs by firemen and police.
My SIM card for my cell phone died right during the hurricane, I just replaced it. Pay phones are a extreme luxury. Theres a 5PM cerfew north, and a 8PM curfew here. No traffic lights here, the next county up has the traffic lights fallen down laying on the sidewalk.
I wandered the island the dya after looking for a phone, any phone. Theres looting, theres chaos, there's anarky.
Of course the hurricane takes out another car window, and of course my computer doesn't work. The Cingular stop has internet amazingly but it costs by the minute so I'll be cutting this short most likely.
My cell will be on, if you know the number feel free to call, but I no longer have texting, so don't text. If I don't answer either I'm sleeping, I'm near a fallen cell site, or theres some emergency I'm on the phone about - yes we have martial law on the islands.
I hope my grandparents are ok. |
